Position: Graphic Design Volunteer
Location: Remote, with flexible working hours
Type: Part-time, Volunteer (between 5 hrs-10 hrs per week – based on availability)
Overview
Hearts4heart is a dedicated non-profit organisation, supporting, educating, and advocating for individuals living with heart disease. Our mission is to eliminate preventable strokes, deaths, and suffering for those affected by heart conditions. We are seeking a Graphic Design Volunteer to expand our reach, enhance digital presence, and communicate our mission through high-quality visual content that aligns with our mission and engages our target audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Design: Develop visually appealing designs for social media posts, website graphics, email marketing, print materials, and other marketing collateral.
- Brand Development & Consistency: Ensure all designs align with Hearts4heart brand guidelines and contribute to a cohesive brand identity.
- Design Projects: Handle multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Campaign Collaboration: Work closely with marketing team members to support campaigns with visual assets, brainstorm creative concepts, and provide design input.
- Additional Visual Support: Create templates, icons, infographics, and other resources that enhance brand communication and outreach efforts.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous design work, ideally within healthcare or charity sectors (but not essential).
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva.
- Knowledge of layout design, typography, colour theory and branding principles.
- Familiarity with video editing tools and basic animation is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks.
