We hope you are keeping safe and well during these uncertain times.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are not able to facilitate Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Awareness Week the way we ordinarily would. Usually, we organise pulse and heart rate testing at hospitals and pharmacies around the country.
However, we believe that it’s vital you don’t put our heart health on hold.
As part of #AFAwarenessWeek2020 hearts4heart have launched the Feel the Beat smartphone app free to the general public. The App allows you to check the health of your heartbeat from the comfort of your home to see if you are at risk of Atrial Fibrillation.
The APP is now available to download onto smartphones!
For the sites that usually provide screening, you can still get involved by printing the poster below and encourage your patients and staff to scan this QR code and download the APP.
Atrial Fibrillation causes 6000 strokes every year, so it is really important that we continue to raise awareness. As such we have also embarked on a social media campaign. We have provided a social media pack that you can utilise throughout the week to help us raise awareness. For the social media pack click here.
